Born in Liverpool.

Enlistment

Enlisted at Manchester on the 8th of February 1855.

Age: 19.

Height: 5' 5".

Trade: Butcher.

Service

Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 20th of June 1855.

A man of this name (but with no regimental shown) appears on a nominal roll of men of the regiment at the Cavalry Depot, Scutari, made out on the 9th of November 1855, and shows him as being On Duty there from the 4th of November.

Discharge & pension

Discharged, on the "Reduction of the Regiment", from Brighton on the 24th of November 1856.

Served 2 years 117 days.

Conduct: "good". Not in possession of any Good Conduct badges.

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol.

Not recorded by Lummis and Wynn.
