Enlisted at Norwich on the 19th of May 1852.

Age: 19.

Height: 5' 8".

Trade: None shown.

Left the regiment for the General Depot at Scutari on the 28th of September 1854.

Invalided to England on the 7th of December 1854.

Can find no further trace to 1879.

Medals & commemorations

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for the Alma. He is not shown on the medal roll for the Sebastopol clasp.

Further information

He is shown as William Woodgate (or Woodgett) in the Chatham Invalid Depot muster rolls as having returned to England aboard the "Talavera" from Scutari, but dying at Plymouth on the 9th of March 1855. No other details are shown except that of his "credits" as being £1/12/5d.
