Born at King's Lynn, Norfolk.

Enlistment

Enlisted at London on the 28th of January 1845.

Age: 20.

Height: 5' 8".

Trade: Carpenter.

Death & burial

Died at Aldershot on the 13th of August 1856.

Next of kin: Wife, Elizabeth Warnes. With the Regiment.

Medals & commemorations

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasps for Balaclava, Inkerman and Sebastopol.

He was buried in the Aldershot Military Cemetery, the grave being a common one and no stone was erected. (See photograph of the grave-area in the 11th Hussar file, he being under one of the mounds in the centre of the picture.)
