Born at Bewdley, Worcestershire.

Enlistment

Enlisted at Liverpool on the 28th of June 1854.

Age: 19 years 6 months.

Height: 5' 11".

Trade: Bell-hanger.

Appearance: Fresh complexion. Grey eyes. Brown hair.

Service

Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 25th of May 1855.

"In confinement": 11th-14th of July 1857 and again 28th-30th of June 1865.

Discharge & pension

Discharged, "on the completion of limited service", from Colchester on the 30th of June 1866.

Conduct: "good". Not in possession of any Good Conduct badges.

Served 12 years 23 days.

Aged 31 years 6 months on discharge.

Thirteen times entered in the Regimental Defaulters' book.

To live at No. 156 Broad Street, Birmingham.

Medals & commemorations

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol.
