Two children were born to him and his wife (name unknown): Mary L., born at Birmingham in 1847, and Charles, born in Dublin in 1853.
Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasps for Alma, Balaclava, Inkerman and Sebastopol.
Died in Camp Kadikoi on the 26th of August 1855.
He was buried in the 11th Hussar cemetery on the road between Kadikoi and Karani. (See copy of the memorial inscription in the 11th Hussar file.)
