Conduct: "good". Not in possession of any Good Conduct badges.

Landed in the Crimea after the 9th of September 1855 but is specially entitled to the Crimean medal in consequence of having served with the Regiment during the Expedition to Eupatoria in the month of October of that same year... Camp Aldershot, 16th November 1857.

A Crimean medal with all four clasps and with engraved naming to "Private W. Potter. 4th Lt. Dragoons." and the property of "Messrs. Tyrell's Ltd, Australia", was sold at a Glendining's auction on the 6th of October 1921. And on the 16th of December 1921 what was apparently the same medal, but now said to be with engraved naming to "Private Wm. Potter. 4th Lt Dragoons. 1855" and the "Property of the Duke of Cambridge", was sold at Glendining's.
