Enlisted at London on the 1st of December 1854.

Age: 22.

Height: 5' 8".

Trade: Servant.

Service

Transferred to the 3rd Dragoon Guards on the 1st of February 1857. Regimental No. 105.

Discharge & pension

Discharged from Chatham Invalid Depot on the 21st of July 1857:

"Unfit for service owing to varicose veins in the lower extremities. The result of constitutional infirmity and not aggravated by vice or intemperance on his part."

Served 2 years 199 days.

In Turkey and the Crimea: 1 year 1 month.

Aged 23 years 6 months on discharge.,

Conduct: "a very good soldier." Not in possession of any Good Conduct badges. Awarded a pension of 6d. per day for three months.

To live in Ealing, Middlesex.

Medals & commemorations

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol, and the Turkish medal.
