Birth & early life

Enlistment

Enlisted into the 3rd Light Dragoons at London on the 7th of April 1851. His Regimental number was 2066. No other enlistment details are shown. /p>

Service

Transferred to the 15th Hussars on the 1st of July 1853. Regimental No. 1654.

Transferred to the 8th Hussars on the 1st of November 1854.

Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 29th of April 1855.

Transferred to the 2nd Dragoon Guards at Dundalk on the 31st of December 1856. Regimental No. 271.

Discharge & pension

Discharged, "time expired", from the Canterbury Depot on the 26th of October 1863.

Served 12 years 233 days.

Conduct: "good".

In possession of two Good Conduct badges.

Medals

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol.

Mutiny medal with clasp for Lucknow.

Served in the field at Korsee and Lucknow: 2nd of January — 6th of May 1858.

Not recorded by Lummis and Wynn.
