Enlistment

Enlisted at Manchester on the 22nd of February 1855.

Age: 22.

Height: 5' 7.

Trade: Carpenter.

Discharge & pension

Discharged from Brighton, on the "Reduction of the Regiment", on the 24th of November 1856.

Served 1 year 286 days.

Conduct and character: "good".

Not in possession of any Good Conduct badges.

Medals

Entitled, according to the medal roll, to the Crimean medal only. He is shown on a separate roll as "Landed in the Crimea after the 9th of September, but is specially entitled to the Crimean medal in consequence of having served with the Regiment during the Expedition to Eupatoria in the month of October 1855." Camp Aldershot, 16th of November 1857.
