Enlisted at London on the 1st of July 1854. He is shown on the Newbridge Depot roll as joining there on the 5th of July 1854.
No other enlistment details apart from his trade as a labourer are shown.
Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 16th of May 1855.
Tried by Court-martial at Dublin on the 17th of November 1863 for "Striking a superior officer", and sentenced to 84 days imprisonment with hard labour.
Sent to the Depot when the Regiment went to India, 25th of June 1866.
Discharged, "time expired", from Canterbury on the 7th of November 1866.
Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol, and the Turkish medal.
