Enlisted at Westminster on the 23rd of February 1854.

Trade: Brick-maker.
Features: Fresh complexion. Grey eyes. Brown hair.
Service, discharge & pension
Sent to the Depot at Birmingham on the 1st of April 1854.
Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 21st of May 1855.
Transferred to the Military Train at Cahir on the 31st of October 1856. Regtl. No. 957. in the 2nd Bn.
Discharged "time expired," from Portsmouth on the 28th of February 1866.
Served in the force under the command of H.E the Commander-in-Chief at Lucknow and with that under Sir James Outram at Alum Bagh.
Medals & commemorations
Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol. and the Turkish medal.
Mutiny medal with clasps for Lucknow and the Relief of Lucknow.
Not recorded by Lummis and Wynn.
The 1881 Census returns show Thomas Leagoe aged 43, a Braid Maker (Trimming maker) born Bethnal Green, living with his wife Ellen born Tongham, Surrey with a daughter Sarah aged 16, and son Charles aged 14, both born at Aldershot. They were living at 18, The Oval, London.
Death & burial
The GRO records show him as dying aged 45 in the Bethnal Green registration district during the March quarter of 1883.
