Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 29th of July 1855.
From Private to Corporal, 12th of November 1855.
Reduced to Private by a Regimental Court-martial on the 2nd of January 1856:
"Deserted" from Scutari on the 8th of January 1856.
Rejoined the regiment in England on the 12th of January 1857. and on being tried by Court-martial at Cahir on the 19th of January for "Desertion and losing his necessaries", was sentenced to 112 days imprisonment with hard labour.
Discharged, "as a bad character", from Aldershot on the 12th of June 1864.
Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol and the Turkish medal.
