Born in the parish of All Saint’s, Stanford.

 

Enlistment details

 

Enlisted at London on the 14th of May 1842.

Age: 17 years 6 months.

Height: 5’ 7”.

Trade: Cabinet-maker.

From Private to Corporal, 27th of September 1854.

Cpl. to Sgt. 4th of November 1854.

 

Died “in the Regimental Hospital,” in the Crimea on the 7th of August 1855.

 

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasps for Alma, Balaclava, Inkerman and Sebastopol.
