Enlisted at Birmingham on the 29th of April 1854.

Height: 5. 7".

Trade: Labourer.

Features: Fresh complexion. Grey eyes. Brown hair.

Service, discharge & pension

Discharged from Cahir on the 17th of October 1856, as:

"Unfit for further service. This man suffers from disease of the heart - the result of constitutional pre-disposition and not aggravated by vice or mis-conduct, intemperance or service."

Served 2 years 172 days. In Turkey and the Crimea, 1 year.

Conduct, "good".

Not in possession of any G.C. badges.

Awarded a pension of 7d. per day to the 9th of July 1857.

Medals & commemorations

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol and the Turkish medal.

Not recorded by Lummis and Wynn.
