Born at Blandford, Dorset.

Enlistment

Originally served in the Dorset Militia.

Enlisted into the 13th Light Dragoons at Exeter on the 13th of March 1855.

Age: 23.

Height: 5' 8".

Trade: Butcher.

Service, discharge & pension

In confinement 1st-4th June 1855.

Joined the regiment in the Crimea on the 3rd of August 1855.

Served at Eupatoria.

Discharged from Cahir on the "Reduction of the Army and not likely to become efficient", on the 6th of January 1857.

Conduct: "good". Not in possession of any Good Conduct badges.

Medals & commemorations

Entitled to the Crimean medal with clasp for Sebastopol and the Turkish medal.
